"Christine Reimer is a prominent British Columbia artist whose use of vibrant color has become her well-known trademark. The subject matter of her evocative, acrylic an canvas paintings ranges from West Coast landscapes, Okanagan vineyards and orchards to exotic gardens and whimsical paintings of people, birds, butterflies and cats. Vivid use of color and energetic brushwork is the common thread found in whatever theme she chooses to paint. Her work can be found in corporate and private collections throughout North America.

“Color, movement and texture created by the brushstrokes are crucial elements in my paintings. I begin with a fairly defined composition but the work evolves as I paint. Color takes on a life of its own and the character of the landscape and figures are revealed as I paint. I strive to create energy with paint and canvas that can be experienced by the viewer.,” says Reimer.

Her education includes a BFA (Visual Arts) from the University of Victoria in 1977, a diploma in Education (Secondary Art), from the University of Victoria in 1979 and  Victoria College of Art (painting) in 1981."
