Animal sculptor Sherry Sander resides in the Montana countryside surrounded by a mini wildlife preserve, the setting for her home and studio. She draws much of her inspiration from animals seeking protection there as well as from extensive field research ranging from the Alaskan bush to the African plains. Sander strives to foster and appreciation for declining wildlife populations and the desire to preserve their habitat. Sander has received many awards as a member of the National Academy of Western Art, Society of Animal Artists, National Sculpture Society, North American Sculpture society, Allied Artists of America, among others. Exhibitions include the National Academy of Design and the Artists of America.
